The Orthopedic and Spine Institute

The residents of Miami have an incredible resource at their fingertips that some do not know about. It’s the Orthopedic and Spine Institute at Kendall Regional Medical Center. While we might be a little closer to residents in Doral and Westchester, our facility is here for everyone in the greater Miami area.Happy old man having a casual talk with a doctor

Orthopedic surgery comes about as a result of pain and/or immobility. The pain might stem from an accident, such as a car wreck or sports injury, or from a gradual condition such as arthritis. In either case, your doctor might recommend surgery as the best treatment option. Orthopedic surgeons can replace and repair joints, tendons and the other body parts that help you move around. These procedures are great ways to relieve pain; however, the recovery process itself might hurt a bit. Not only will your body be healing, but it will also be reacquainting itself with some movements that might not have been a part of your life for a while. To make sure you get through the process as easily as is possible, we have assembled an expert staff and a specially designed facility.

What Can We Do for You?

Comfort is our goal. The more comfortable you are during and after an orthopedic procedure, the more likely you are to have a swift and trouble-free recovery. Keeping this in mind, we outfitted our Orthopedic and Spine Center as if it were a hotel that accommodates medical procedures. It might seem over-the-top to some, but when it comes down to it, everyone likes a little—or in our case, a lot of—hospitality.

What Do We Offer?

  • Free Wi-Fi: Bring your laptop along to stay connected to friends and your favorite news sources right from your room.
  • Space for you: We offer private recovery suites so you have a place of your own. Your room will have a private bath and give you the option of having a little quiet time.
  • Space for visitors: Our rooms are designed to be large enough to accommodate your guests. Having family on hand before and after surgery allows you to be more comfortable. We even have fold-out couches available in case a loved one wants to spend the night.
  • Concierge: Taking a tip from the hospitality industry, we have incorporated a staff position that exists entirely to serve you. Our concierge is available every single day to answer your questions, make sure that you are aware of your surgical and recovery schedule, and to help your loved ones. The concierge can let your family know how you are doing, recommend a great place to eat nearby, and answer questions about your orthopedic procedure. If the concierge does not know the exact answer to a question, he or she will consult with your doctor to make sure you have all of the information that you need.

We have added these amenities to our Orthopedic and Spine Center to prove that we are committed to the people we serve. Our patients are neighbors who need as much assistance as possible while going through the healing process. Our staff is always available to explain what you need to do to recover, go over your rehab schedule and exercises with you, or answer questions about your procedure. Our goal is to get you back on your feet as quickly and easily as possible. If you would like more information on how we can help you regain mobility and get past pain, feel free to Consult-A-Nurse® by calling 1-305-222-2200.
